I am Tati Mesa, a color witch and image alchemist. A woman, Latina, and a feminist. A sensitive soul who believes there is no creation without connection. I capture the beauty that surrounds me and delineate worlds that spring from my pencils.
Illustrator and graphic designer trained in visual arts, graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Montevideo, Uruguay. Since 2007, I have been working mixing art and design.
I've been working as a freelance illustrator and designer for over nine years for various companies, production companies, entrepreneurs, and social organizations. I've been publishing illustrations in Lento Magazine since 2017, and in 2019, I participated in the "Pintan las pibas" (The Girls Paint), a women's mural intervention in Paysandú.
That same year, I spoke at Creative Mornings Montevideo on the topic “Fin”, where I talked about my creative process.
My interests and experiences are very varied: I participated theater and murga workshops where I tried out acting, singing, and even play as a costume designer; I explored the world of printing and screen printing; I had a brief love affair with advertising before moving on to work in culture for the National Direction's communication's team; I've also had the opportunity to design experiences for digital products where I learn a ton about agile methodologies; I experimented with mural painting, soccer, and a ukulele.
Always restless, always curious.

Creating unique stories through drawing and co-creating visual experiences. That's what I do.
Drawing is - and always was - my favorite game.
I came and went, but I never stopped...I've been drawing since I can remember.
Since I was little, creating images has become my alchemy, my way of processing and redefining what I experience.
Through so much making and unmaking, I figured out how passionate I am about telling stories with colors, shapes, and textures. I'm captivated by playing with the written word, drawing it, and sometimes contradicting it, to create unique stories.
