his project was driven by a team of volunteer migrants and residents of Uruguay. Filled with stories and recipes from people from all over Latin America who migrated to our country, this book brings to light the narratives that brought them here through the universal language of food. It's a project that aims to empathize and build bridges within Uruguayan society.

I was tasked with integrating the project into its final stage, where many of the visual decisions had already been made. Sasha Natasha gave its identity with its cover, followed by the country-specific covers illustrated by Uxia Rodríguez and the photos taken by Loredana Land.

Various creative hands with individual perspectives; the team made it clear that this quality was crucial because it reflects the project's main strength: the collective. In this book, the narrative, the life story, the diversity, and above all, the flavor and color would prevail.

My objective was to help them achieve the leap from prototype to printed book.
I decided to start with color, expanding the initial palette proposed for the cover. To apply it to the existing interior illustrations and those yet to be created.
A broader palette gave the project unity, helped propose a rhythm and a code for expressing things without losing diversity.
I continued with the lettering by country to complete and give identity to the title pages.
Then came the interior illustrations and infographics, based on the textures of the cover to avoid introducing new aesthetics.
I kept the typographic choices simple; there were too many visual languages conversing at once.

Little by little, the book began to take shape. Many thanks to the team for their trust and the opportunity to help them bring this project, filled with love and dedication, to life.
